The Living Desert
The Living Desert is a not to be missed Palm Springs valley attraction. This 1800 acre park, located in Palm Desert, features desert animals and plant life from around the world. Beautifully designed animal enclosures provide visitors with as close to a natural experience as possible. Viewing the giraffes silhouetted against the Santa Rosa Mountains is an unforgettable experience. The cat collection – both big and small specimens

The Annenberg Foundation Trust at Sunnylands was founded in 2001 to address important issues facing the nation and the world. The Trust established The Annenberg Retreat at Sunnylands to serve as a sanctuary for generations of high-level national and world leaders seeking the privacy, the peace, and “the pause” needed to address the most pressing issues of the day.

Walter and Leonore Annenberg directed a portion of their philanthropy toward funding, and in some cases hosting, meetings and retreats at Sunnylands under four banners: Sunnylands Constitution Project, American Institutions of Democracy, Adolescent Mental Health Initiative, and Promoting International Understanding.

The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway

The Kraft Nabisco Championship is the first major tournament on the LPGA Tour. The Show at Agua Caliente Resort Spa

The Tolerance Education Center in Rancho Mirage
The Tolerance Educations Center’s Mission is to confront intolerance in all its manifestations and encourage understanding and acceptance of differences in religion, culture and sexuality. Through exhibitions, lecture programs, films, a library and outreach the Center strives to help young people, in particular, overcome their biases and grow in their appreciation of diversity.

The Tolerance Education Center features a research center where the public is provided the opportunity to delve deeper into the topic of hatred and intolerance. The Center presents an ongoing film program in the Center’s jewel of a theater.
